3. Filament applications-soft and sensitive (special care)

Filament applications – soft and sensitive

The exceptionally soft and sensitive dental care filaments allow you to brush effectively when having sensitive gums, periodontitis or even after surgery.

It’s tailor-made for your needs combining technologies such as foaming agents to create an especially sensitive surface of the filament. The cloud like pockets which are filled with air on the outside of Sensitive Structure filament allow the user to have an extremely soft brushing experience.

The filaments maintain their optimal bending recovery while creating the softness you desire in your toothbrush. In addition, more filaments will fit in a tuft hole resulting in a “fuller” brushing experience with more water and toothpaste held in the brush.

The co-extrusion process is yet another technology, which offers you a diverse portfolio on sensitive filaments. We are also able to link their attributes by combining two materials in a core and sheath layer. The Rubber Soft filaments function as a soft eraser on your teeth removing plaque in a sensitive manner.

Product advantages/USP

• Soft and sensitive brushing experience

• Proven track record in specialized tooth brushes for use after surgery

• Dentex®S (PBT) – thin diameter allows you to have up to 400 % more filaments per tuft hole

• Sensitive Structure filaments are produced by unique unprecedented foaming technology to capture air in small pockets on

the surface of the filaments

• 84 Standard colors, other Pantone colors available on request

• Bundle Length: 16 mm – 1200 mm (.629” – 47”)

4. Filament technology with the extra twist (spiral)

Filament technology with the extra twist

Spiral technology is one of the most popular filament technologies within the Pedex product range. The spiral filaments offer your brush an extra twist in terms of visual effect and increased cleaning efficiency.

Perlon® is able to twist any filament with different profiles – such as square, trilobal and hexagonal as well as different component filaments consisting of one, two or three components. This twisting technology is the basis for several of the top selling filaments: Spiral Filaments, Spiral Magic, Spiral Mix, Spiral Magic Mix, Twisted Trilobal Filaments and StainDevil®.

Product advantages/USP

• Great visualization in the brush possible through colored edges or sparkling look

• Up to 24 % higher cleaning efficiency for Spiral Filaments compared to standard filaments

• Combination with filament mixing technology allows standard filament and spiral filament mixing

• High degree of innovation and possibility to develop further filaments custom-made for you

• 84 Standard colors, other Pantone colors available on request

5. Filaments with an increased surface (Textured)

Filaments with an increased surface

Perlon® has developed and perfected its unique texturing and crimping technology over a number of years. During the production process, force is applied to certain parts of the filament creating an equally textured and crimped surface. If you need filaments, which have an increased surface and are able to hold more toothpaste in the brush, then this is the Perlon® technology you are looking for.

The following products use this technology:

• Textured Filaments, which are embossed and have an increased surface space

• Rubber Structure Filaments, which give you the properties and increased cleaning power of our Rubber Soft Filaments

combined with our tex-turing technology for a greater surface

• Crimped Filaments, which are waved giving you more volume per tuft hole, thus creating a fuller brush.

The amplitude of the waves is very consistent allowing an even brush structure.

• 84 Standard colors, other Pantone colors available on request

• Bundle Length: 16 mm – 1200 mm (.629” – 47”)

• Diameters: 0.076 mm – 0.229 mm (.003” – .009”), other diameters on request
